Slam Lock

For Our Access Covers



The T-316 stainless steel slam lock provides a flush mounted locking system for access covers. The slam lock is mounted to the underside of the cover with T-316 stainless steel hardware and is supplied with a key and a threaded plug to prevent debris accumulating in the lock opening. The slam lock is the standard locking system on single and double door Series WS, SS, WC, HW, HC, and HR access covers.



Applications

The slam lock option should be specified when a flush mounted locking system is the desired means of securing an access cover. Although the slam lock does afford a degree of security, it can be unlocked with a flat blade screwdriver. Therefore it may be prudent to include a security plug in lieu of the standard plug. Halliday Products can supply a stainless steel security plug that requires a special wrench. Consult the factory for more information about the stainless steel security plug.



Specifications:

  • The slam lock material is T-316 stainless steel.
  • The slam lock is attached to the underside on the access cover with T-316 stainless steel hardware.
  • The slam lock key is T-316 stainless steel 5/16” square bar.
  • The standard slam lock plug is aluminum and is removed from the cover with the slam lock wrench supplied.
